Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

  • Trek through rainforest to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp (2,650m)

  • Approx. 3–4 hours of hiking
    Meals: Lunch, Dinner

  • Steep climb through forest and into moorland

  • Arrive at Shira 1 Camp (3,610m) on the plateau

  • Approx. 5–6 hours of hiking
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Explore the vast Shira Plateau

  • Gentle hike to Shira 2 Camp (3,850m) with views of Kibo Peak
