Day 1: Machame Gate to Machame Camp
  • Drive from Moshi to Machame Gate (1,800m)

  • Trek through rainforest to Machame Camp (3,000m)

  • Approx. 5–6 hours of hiking

  • Trek through moorland and open terrain

  • Reach Shira Camp (3,840m) on the Shira Plateau

  • Approx. 4–5 hours of hiking
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Climb up to Lava Tower (4,630m) for acclimatization

  • Descend to Barranco Camp (3,960m) for the night

  • Approx. 6–7 hours of hiking
    Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

  • Climb the scenic Barranco Wall, then gentle hike to Karanga Camp (4,035m)

  • Shorter acclimatization day

  • Approx. 4–5 hours of hiking

  • Trek through alpine desert to Barafu Camp (4,673m)

  • Early dinner and rest before summit night
