Mikumi National Park

Close, Wild, and Crowd-Free — Tanzania’s Hidden Safari Gem

Why Visit Mikumi?

Just a few hours’ drive from Dar es Salaam, Mikumi National Park is the most accessible wildlife park in Southern Tanzania — and one of the most underrated. Often called the “Mini Serengeti,” Mikumi features wide open plains dotted with wildlife, making it perfect for a quick, budget-friendly, or first-time safari.

It’s a top choice for those short on time but eager to experience Tanzania’s incredible wildlife — without the long travel or large crowds.
