🗓️ Itinerary (9-Day Recommended)
Day 1: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp
Drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate (2,100m)
Trek through lush forest to Mti Mkubwa (Big Tree) Camp (2,650m)
Approx. 3–4 hours of hiking
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Day 2: Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
Climb out of the rainforest and into moorland
Reach Shira 1 Camp (3,610m) on the Shira Plateau
Approx. 5–6 hours of hiking
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 3: Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp
Gentle trek across open terrain with great views
Arrive at Shira 2 Camp (3,850m)
Approx. 4–5 hours of hiking
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 4: Shira 2 to Moir Hut
Hike off the beaten path to Moir Hut (4,200m)
Great spot for optional acclimatization hike

Day 5: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp
Cross to the northern slopes of Kilimanjaro

Day 6: Buffalo Camp to Third Cave Camp
Gradual hike across the northern side of the mountain

Day 7: Third Cave to School Hut
Climb up to School Hut (4,750m) for summit night prep
Early dinner and full rest

Day 8: School Hut to Uhuru Peak, down to Mweka Camp
Midnight start to reach Uhuru Peak (5,895m) at sunrise
Celebrate at the summit, then descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m)

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate
Final descent through the forest to Mweka Gate (1,640m)
Drive back to Moshi for rest or onward travel
